Dilkes-Hoffman Studio Ceramics workshop and
gallery first opened to the public
in December 1991. It is a partnership between Rod Dilkes and Tova
Hoffman. Tova studied ceramics at Bezalel Art Academy in Israel and at
Harrow College in London. Rod is a self taught ceramic artist, with an
interest in metallic lustre pottery. In September 2001 we rebuilt
our workshop using rammed earth and wood from the property to create a
unique, rustic building where we produce and sell our distinctive
copper and silver reduced ceramics. We produce a wide range of
tableware as well as distinctive one off collector pieces. We are well
known for our bright glaze colors and beautiful objects. You are
welcome to come and see us at work and have a chat. Our studio is set
amongst the trees on
the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Ridge near Margaret River, one of the most
beautiful natural areas in the world. We have rare orchids and wild
flowers growing amongst the trees. In our gallery we also display a collection of work by other local
craftspeople. Jewellery, photographs, prints, stained glass and
more....
Our goal is to create a tradition of finely designed and crafted uniquely Australian ceramics.
We hope you can come and see us soon.
