Hot glass designer & artist, Gerry Reilly produces a decorative handmade range of art glass designs from the Melting Pot Glass Studio in Margaret River, which he has owned and operated since 1990. The studio has recently moved to a beautiful mudbrick gallery in the cultural precinct at the northern end of Margaret River's main street.

After training in Ceramics & Glass at Monash University and University of Tasmania between 1976 and 1981, Gerry worked in glass studios in Tasmania and South Australia, including the Jam Factory Craft Workshop and many private studios with glass and clay, before settling in the south west of Western Australia in the mid 1980s.

Gerry has attended many conferences and workshops, including an overseas advanced workshop in Venetian Glassblowing techniques with Venetian glassmaster, Lino Tagliapietra. As Workshop Coordinator for the recent AUSGLASS National Conference held in WA in January 2003, Gerry was highly instrumental in its success. Gerry has been a Fellow of the Crafts Council of WA since 1995, received Craftmark accredition and became an affiliate of Craft Australia in 1999.

Gerry Reilly exhibits nationally and internationally and his artworks are represented in public and private collections around Australia and overseas, including the Ebeltoft Glasmuseum Denmark. Commissions include corporate gifts, trophies and interior designed pieces for clients as varied as the PrimeMinister's Dept CHOGM diplomatic gifts 2001-2002; WA Premier's Dept; Sultan of Brunei and Danish Ambassador's collection, Masters International Surf Trophies 1993-2003; Hammersley Iron, Kleenheat Gas and Woodside Petroleum corporate gifts, and Holmes A Court Collection. Gerry Reilly also works closely with Craftwest and the Fremantle Arts Centre to provide beautiful artglass gifts and presentation works to a diverse range of companies and government departments.
